Hello, I’m Marlon Williams MEng EngTech FCIPHE MIET.

As well as holding a Masters in Engineering Management, such is the depth of my industry experience I have been appointed the highest status possible, that of a Fellow, to the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, the only professional body for plumbing and heating in the UK.

For almost 20 years I have delivered water mains supplies and hydronics systems in diverse environments such as data centres, hospitals, universities and residential buildings.

My technical learning and trade background position me uniquely to deliver on your hydronic needs, be it lead work, new mains installations or broader heating systems, including MCS certified heat pumps through a trusted industry affiliate.

For large bore commercial works and more bespoke projects requiring system automation such as Modbus water metering and automated leak detection solutions, I bring proven expertise as a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology IET, a certified City and Guilds Level 4 Electrical Designer, and someone trained in Loxone and Inno Tech automation systems. Water Mains Installations

As Thames Water and Watersafe Approved contractors, we provide a comprehensive domestic and commercial water mains service, encompassing:

Service

• Domestic and commercial water mains repairs and full installations, including lead pipe work applications

• All correspondence with Thames Water e.g Lead Replacement Scheme applications

• Modbus water measurement installations and automated leak detection solutions

Leak Detection

We handle numerous cases where customers receive notifications from the water undertaker e.g. Thames Water stating there is a leak at the property, and that an Approved Contractor such as ourselves ought to attend site and investigate - often before the undertaker takes any further action.

Service

In such cases we:

• Attend to assess the layout of the incoming mains and carry out initial checks

• Advise a leak may not be the customer’s responsibility but instead the water undertaker’s

• Advise where a leak may be due to meter error or poor meter installation by the water undertaker

• Advise on the best options to proceed which may include pipe work pressure testing, limited excavation works or gas trace leak detection methods

Rest assured we can deliver in this area and will strive to locate any leaks before disturbing any building fabric where practicable.

HICR – Hydronic Installation Condition Report of plumbing, heating, cooling and renewables systems

We support self-builders, architects, property owners and others by providing an independent technical voice to their project, ensuring contractors deliver on their promises.

We can carry out design reviews prior to installation works, a property purchase or a building modification to ensure that your appointed contractor firstly has a design, and that the agreed design intent is followed through, irrespective of time or cost constraints etc that may arise.

We can actively monitor an ongoing installation, carrying out best practice, legislative and quality control reviews, introducing written quality control plans where required. These will include milestone stop points, such that all issues are rectified before the next stage of works begin e.g. backfilling, cement laying, wall erection, building of custom cabinetry etc.

We can establish clear commissioning plans in line with legislative, manufacturer and performance requirements to ensure, that at the point of practical completion, the system is functioning as per design.

Less ideally, we can inspect installations post-completion, producing non-conformance reports as required.
